The End Is in Sight

Good news for LOST fans… it’s going to end.

“We always envisioned `Lost’ as a show with a beginning, middle and end,” [LOST’s Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse] said in a statement. “By officially announcing exactly when that ending will be, the audience will now have the security of knowing that the story will play out as we’ve intended.”

While I agree that the show was pretty slow during the first half of season 3,LOST’s story line has been coming on strong since the break, and I’d hate to see it end prematurely. Lindelof and Cuse have often said that they have the whole thing — including a final resolution — in their heads. I’d be a shame to cut it short.

ABC made a good move here. Rather than taking the normal TV Executive cop-out of “picking up the show for one more season,” and letting things drag on & on until they slowly die (hello, West Wing) they let us know not only when it will end, but that we will get a completed story.
