Six weeks after the storm hit, the damage is still apparent.
Here’s one area backyard, viewed from the parking lot of our church. On the left you can see what’s remaining of a light pole.
Before the damage, you couldn’t see the house through the trees at all from this parking lot. And obviously the home is still in need of repair.
Piles of cut trees still border many of the city’s roads. Crews are out every day; it’s not that work’s not being done, just that there’s still a lot of it.
I know, it’s no post-Katrina New Orleans, but the damage is real nonetheless.
