Been a Long Time Coming

Nov 8th 04: “I never thought I’d have broadband… Can you say XBox LIVE! Jay, Steven, fire up the controllers…”
April 10th 07: “Rob, are you ready?”
This week he finally got his Xbox LIVE account and tonight we got into some games together online. Not only did I get to introduce Rob to some of my […]

IMAP Comes to Gmail

“Whether you read or write your email on your phone or on your desktop, changes you make to Gmail will be seen from anywhere you access your inbox.” [What’s new on Gmail?]
Plenty of you use client email applications on your home computers with Gmail — Apple’s Mail, Microsoft’s Mail or Outlook Express, Mozilla’s Thunderbird, […]

What was said at TED stayed at TED… but now it doesn’t. The TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Conference may be “exclusive” but the rest of us can get a taste as well now, thanks to recordings made available via the web (thanks to BMW, […]

Scarecrows and High Cotton in Alpharetta

Alpharetta’s Scarecrow Harvest was capped off this morning with a festive family celebration, including face painting, rides in a horse-drawn carriage, goods from local farmers & artisans, and live music provided by High Cotton.
There are a few more pictures over on the flickr site.

At noon, the mayor and city council members took over the stage […]

Alpharetta Scarecrows

Each year Alpharetta invites classes in local schools to create scarecrows to decorate Main Street, the Scarecrow Harvest. This is the entry from Hilary’s first grade class at King’s Ridge.

He’s a mixture of the Cowardly Lion (head), Scarecrow (torso and arms) and Tin Man (legs) from the L. Frank Baum’s classic story, The Wizard […]
